VANCOUVER STREET SOCCER LEAGUE | STREET SOCCER CANADA

The Vancouver Street Soccer League is a volunteer-run organization which addresses the issue of homelessness, marginalization, and addiction through inclusivity and soccer. Over the years I have joined the Vancouver Street Soccer League and Street Soccer Canada on several trips including the Homeless World Cups in Paris and Mexico City and to June Sports in Alert Bay.

Alert Bay

St. Michael's residential school in Alert Bay operated between 1929 and 1975. At the school, First Nations students were physically and sexually abused, prohibited from speaking their language and kept away from their families for years. It was demolished in 2015.
